Does anyone have any experience repairing the tailwheel on a Blanik L-23? Ours failed, and it appears that it had been repaired before, so with all the cracks, etc., it doesn't look easily repairable. Photos available he https://www.flickr.com/gp/soar5z/LJnfXW Apparently Vitek ay Blanik...

Please send me logs, stories of flying in thermal wave over the plains by danlj
I am researching shear wave and thermal wave. For example, the WI glider altitude record was set by Ted Clausing in thermal wave. For example, on 4/24/98, bases were 7000 msl, thermal wave took gliders to 16-20,000 msl over lower Michigan, and stacked lenticulars were seen. If you understand how...

PowerFlarm range tool by Mark628CA
I have run several flights through the PowerFlarm range tool, and my coverage seems adequate, but I am wondering if anyone has a method of determining 3D coverage? The tool shows a decent depiction of horizontal coverage, but I wouldn't mind having an idea of the coverage above and (especially)...

Pipistrel Taurus for training? by macquistan
Hello, All, Does anyone have experience instructing in Pipistrel Taurus, both for ab initio and transition pilots? How durable or fragile of a ship is it? Any thoughts as to how it would compare with an ASK-21MI or a G-103 SL? Thanks much, Dylan

I noticed in a recent post by 2NO that his ClearNav 1 had "locked up" a few times. I have had a number of episodes where the display is running perfectly but will not respond to any inputs from the hand-held controller (cannot change scale, wind, ballast, turn point, or any of the other "ribbon"...
