DAEC Index - Help Needed by
Papa3
Hopefully someone from Germany can help out. I'm in the
midst of a discussion with someone about the handicap for the
SZD-55. The debate is on what reference weight is/was used for the
handicap. The table I see from the DAEC includes reference weights
for many ships, but not for the SZD-55. ...

SNAV-LNAV low memory-battery voltage message? by
Steve Leonard
Did you check the contacts in the S-Nav? Maybe they
have some corrosion on them, causing the vario to see
lower backup battery voltage.

What To Expect For Florida Spring by

Has anyone here tried mounting a camera on the wing (or tail) of a glider?
If so, how did you do it?
All my pictures (from inside the cockpit) are pretty boring in comparison
with the pictures you see in glider...

Hi all,
Add me to the list of Montague open class contest bloggers.
I'm sitting in the rear seat of JOY, like I did in the 2012 Nationals. I take photos and videos and write for a non-pilot audience.

Seniors March 14th by
Gary Osoba
Very interesting to see Chip Garner in the 15m Duck Hawk winning the
day in what appears to be relatively weak conditions. Span-limited in
comparison to many of the ships with longer legs, he was nearly 10%
faster in raw speed than KS, who is leading in a Duo.

So if several sailplanes arrive at pattern altitude at the same time, how does the port authority expect them to land "legally"?

What am I looking for? by
Mike McCarron
I had an ASW-24 for some 10 years but the landing flaps
on the ASW-27B take my breath away. Truly powerful
and make my all too frequent outlandings less exciting.
For that I am grateful. But I would defer to UH since
he has owned both with more time than I.

Nano GPS issue by

So I'm having a problem with my Nano this season. It will power on and I get the left most LED blinking as expected. The issue is that I never get the second LED blinking to indicate that the GPS is happy. I've left it powered on outside for over an hour and still only the one LED. The Nano...

Transceiver Troubleshooting Guide Updates by
John DeRosa OHM Ω http://aviation.derosaweb.net
I just updated my transceiver troubleshooting guide to take it to a "what is the symptom" approach to the radio problems that plague us (discounting Covid-19 for the moment).
Please give it a look-see and let me know if I...
- Only served to confuse everyone
- Made a grotesque mistake...
