Sun N Fun '07 Redux by
Jay Honeck
Mary and I just returned from 6 glorious days at Sun N Fun in
Lakeland, FL, where we enjoyed the most amazingly perfect weather I
have ever seen at such an event. The nights were cool (almost cold
the first few nights) -- perfect for sleeping -- and the days were
sunny and warm. No humidity, no...

Q: Will the new Cessna LSA have a factory installed ballistic recovery
parachute option? Yes or No.
Let me know your gut feeling. I want to see if group intelligence
theory works. Thanks in advance!

Chrome cylinder in radials by
GTH
One of my buddies flies a radial powered vintage airplane.
He says that all the radials he is aware of have one chrome cylinder
corresponding to the master rod, and the rest straight cylinders.
Anyone around has seen this, and has any info as to why it would be so ?
Thanks in...

Need Info On Reamers by
DonMorrisey
I'm trying to figure out how and where to buy reamers. I need to
create some 5/8" and 1/2" holes in ultra high molecular weight
polyethylene blocks for my control system. The aileron push tubes
slide thorugh the blocks and the aileron actuators mount in the blocks
as well. The mounting component...

brake fittings by
[email protected]
Can I connect aluminum AN fittings to steel hose ends? I am
planning on using Earl's Speed-Flex hose with Speed-Seal hose ends on
my Avid Mark IV with Grove gear and Matco brakes. Will there be
corrosion
from the mating of dissimilar metals? Thanks.

EAA Sport Aviation Articles on BD6 Aircraft by
[email protected]
Can any EAA member advise me if it is possible to obtain copies of old
Sport Aviation Articles. I'm trying to obtain information on the BD6
aircraft published in the July 1973 and July 1974 editions?
Does an EAA membership allow access to those editions?
Thank you

Static Port for Fairchild 24 by
[email protected]
A friend is restoring a Fairchild 24. It did not have a static
port...
iinstruments just vented to cabin.
He's wondering where one might install a pair, one per side.
Any experience on this? It isn't real fast so it might not matter.

Like heat shrink tubing but not a tube. by
Gig 601XL Builder
I need to do what heat shrink tubing would be perfect for but I can't use
the HST because the end of what I need to cover is too large. Is there an
equivalent that will allow me to wrap the item and then heat shrink it?

Hawaiian MOGAS, ethanol, the EAA and your local legislature by
wright1902glider
I ran across this notice on the EAA website today regarding proposed
legislation in the state of Hawaii to exclude premium mogas from the
10% ethanol requirement. Please take a few minutes to read the Bill
itself. This may be very useful if you live in an area where only E10
is sold, and there is...

Any Georgia fly-ins in May? by
Bob Martin
Two weeks from now, I'll be done with school forever... and I'll have about a month to
kill before starting work. I intend to spend a lot of that time in the air... so does
anyone know of fly-ins within 150 miles or so of Atlanta during May? I'd like to get out
and go somewhere for once,...
