DG-1000 undercarriage collapses and inadvertent extensions ? by
Bernie[_2_]
Our DG-1000 at Southern Cross Gliding Club (Camden, NSW, Australia)
has experienced multiple occurences of both inadvertent retraction and
extension of the undercarriage. Typically the undercarrriage has
dropped down whilst in flight, in various modes including straight and
level in smooth air.
We...

NEW - DG-1001e neo with FES with 40 HP
Quality, performance, safety and all-round capabilities have always been the most important characteristics of our well known DG-1000 family since its roll-out. With more than 300 units sold, the DG-1000 family is flying in all areas of gliding. For us it was...

DG-101 - increase performance/sealing/winglets(?) by
Senna Van den Bosch
I've been flying my DG-101 for a year now and really love it. However, there are some gaps which haven't been sealed and I'd like to give tuning a shot.
Does anyone have experience using aileron fences? Would it be worth using to increase handling?
My rudder has no gap sealing to transition from...

DG-200 Water Valve by
S. Murry
One off the dump valves on my DG-200 is not completely closing. It seems
that the spring mechanism that pushes down on the plug to seal it when you
close the dump valve doesn't have enough "oomph" to completely close the
valve. I suspect that a good cleaning might be all that is required, but
if...

DG-300 instrument panel by
[email protected]
I'm thinking of starting anew with the instrument panel in the 300.
The Terra 720 radio is out, and the L-NAV works, but it came with an
old Garmin 95 GPS, which looks more like a typewriter, and no logger.
I'm looking to do a Cambridge 302, with a good radio, and remove the
compass from atop the...

DG-300 or LS-3? by

Hello all - I've got a question for the competition pilots out the
Imagine you're a budding competition pilot with about 300 hours in
your logbook. You've done a couple of Sports-class competitions and
find them highly enjoyable. You begin to make plans to buy a partial
share in a high-end...

DG-300 Oxygen Cylinder Size? by
kammeyer
Hi All,
I'm purchasing an oxygen system for my DG-300, and I'm not sure which cylinder to buy. Can any owners comment on whether the 5.25" cylinder works? My measurements indicate it will be tight but perhaps will work.
Thanks!

DG-300 Possibly for Sale by
noel.wade
Fellow pilots:
Nothing's definite yet, but I have a sudden opportunity to acquire a
different glider. If that happens I'll need to sell my DG-300 to
complete the purchase.
The ship is in excellent condition. I searched all over the country
before buying it, to find the best DG-300 possible. It...

DG-300 water bag valve Q. by
[email protected]
Okay, the valves at the wing root for the ballast bags have lost there
"spring" . In other words, they wont stay shut. I can pull on the
valve push rod slightly and get a good seal, but it leaks when I
release it. Is there a spring inside that push rod boot, that can be
adjusted/replaced, or...

DG-300 Water Ballast Bags by
noel.wade
So I would like to start flying my DG-300 with water; but the previous
owner tells me that the bags weren't used for about the last 10
years. Rather than take a chance on them, I'd like to replace them.
My local DG dealer (whom I do appreciate) is saying its about $1000USD
per bag from the...

DG-300 Wing fore/aft pin slop by
[email protected]
I'm a new owner of a 1984 DG-300 with 700 hrs. Upon first assembly,
it is apparent there is approximately 1/8" gap between the wing root
and fuse. Also there is what appears to be a moderate amount of
movement of the wings fore/aft when moderate force is applied. What is
the acceptable amount...

DG-303 spar issues - puchase? by
Paul[_11_]
For a new glider pilot, do you think a DG-303 glider would be a good glider to purchase? I really like the design, and I've tried to understand all the issues that occurred around 2007 (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!starred/rec.aviation.soaring/SspUMjJ-YYo), however not sure what the end result...

DG-400 Oxygen Bottle Problems by
[email protected]
The only test and recertification station to serve Utah refuses to test
and fill the german factory bottles for the DG-400 since they do not
have a USA DOT stamp on them. The official regulations (which he
showed me) state that foreign bottles without the DOT stamp can only be
tested for "EXPORT"...
