![]() "Adam Aulick" wrote in message ... I will be camping at Oshkosh for all six nights with my non-aviation father and my 5-year-old son. We'll be taking one day off to go tour the nearby Clydesdale farm (reservations required) and whatever other things strike our collective fancy. Does Airventure have a varying "character" as the week progresses? (i.e. people packing up on Friday, maybe a slow start on Monday, overcrowded in the middle, I dunno...) If you were to skip a day, would you care which one it was? First, if you want to see?do it all, one full week is not enough. That said, Monday and Tuesday, stay near the flight line, and keep your ear to the ground, waiting for soma of the big draws (Space one, Fosset, some of the other big birds/warbirds) to do some fly-bys, and landings. The highest numbers of homebuilts will be there early, with some (guessing 25%)leaving before the weekend crowds coming in. Look at the schedules of forums and speakers to schedule your days. Some must sees that some don't think of, are ultralights and the seaplane base and museum. Do the museum during the airshow (once you have seen it, all the days are almost the same) and also, to get out of the heat of the day. Take the helicopter ride, to get a great view of the grounds all at one time. If you like free stuff, hit all of the exhibits the first day. Back to your question, The last day (Sunday) is the best one to skip, but I wouldn't. g -- Jim in NC |

Skip Thursday and Friday. The forums in the morning on those days aren't
worth a damn. {;-) (Where is the "nearby" Clydesdale farm? St. Louis?) Jim "Morgans" wrote in message ... "Adam Aulick" wrote in message ... "Larson's Famous Clydesdales," http://www.larsonsclydesdales.com/ You'll also be pleased to know that Oshkosh is only an hour and a quarter's drive from Circus World, home of the world's largest collection of circus wagons, in Baraboo, WI. ~Adam |

Several interactive areas for kids, even if they are not interested in
aviation, they will enjoy these areas. For those kids that are flying and airplane nuts, they will have a blast. Jim wrote in message ups.com... How is that museum for kids? |
