Do you use it in the air? If so, how is reception?

I have very little luck making call on my Sprint PCS phone in the air.

I fly airplanes off and on as a hobby, I use http://www.weathertap.com/

for
Nexrad images and other. I use a cell phone plugged into my WindowsCE
pocket PC with a cheap cable (Verizon). I know it's not the palm format,
but just thought others might be interested. It's about 75 bucks a year,
but it's color and there is a special palm site so all the maps are scaled
down for quick loading. Verizon has a free number you call to get the
internet connection. It's pretty slow, but you don't need a modem in your
pocketPC and the Verizon service is free.

I don't use it in the air because it doesn't seem to work. I've only tried
it once, fairly low altitude maybe 3000 agl. It was over an area I know has
reception on the ground. I had a Sprint phone before that, same problem
with reception. But our club now has a few new Cessna's with uplink Nexrad!
