Dear List, Anyone here seen any high time homebuilts.I do some part time work at a RANS dealer, and I was wondering how long one of these would last.I have heard some stories, but I have not personally been able to verify.Anyone on this list have a high time RANS? Planes are like the story of George Washington's axe. It's all original except that the head has been replaced 10 times, and the handle 3 :-) Also depends on what you call high time. One of our club's two RANS S6 is coming up to 1000 hours in a month or so, it's about 3 years old. No (touch wood) major work undertaken so far apart from the engine overhauls of course. |
