Hey kimmer.

This is not really the right forum for this, unless you are preparing
for an instrument rating. You might try browsing the archives of
rec.aviation.student, that might be a better fit. Find archives at
groups.google.com.

Anyway, there's tons of stuff you can read. The FAA has a publication
called Airman's Information Manual (AIM). It's online and you should be
able to find it on the FAA web site. You may want to get a printed copy
unless you really like online reading. There's also the Federal Aviation
Regulations (FARs). You'll need to study Parts 61 and 91 to prepare for
your written exam. It's pretty dry reading.

For more readable stuff, look for books by Bob Gardner, Rod Machado,
William Kershner, John and Martha King, and there are lots of others.

There's an excellent video series called Learning to Fly that is
published by EAA.
http://www.eaa.org/communications/ea...earntofly.html I don't
know whether it's possible to purchase a copy.

Good luck!

Dave
