Default bicycle wire - glider cable

I am trying to replace a 14 foot length of bicycle wire that goes to
my rear ballast tank. Does anyone know of a source for that length of
wire? Thanks.

If it is really "bicycle" stuff (i.e. cable inside a sheath) try your
local "hi end" (you know, the place with all the guys hanging out in
their skin tight shorts) bike shop. The often but the cable and
housing in bulk quantities.

Otherwise, you might just have standard stainless steel cable. get
that at Wicks, Aircraft Spruce, etc. If you need a fitting swagged
on the end, your local A&P may be able to to that or (i think)
Aircraft Spruce may do that.

McMaster Carr - Aviation Dept

Kidding on the aviation dept. However, they are a fantatic resource
for hardware of all kinds.

Fast (somehow they ship overnight to me using standard UPS if I oder
by 3:00 PM) service, reasonable prices and excellent quality
products. Generally, if they only stock the best-quality materials,
parts, and tools.

These guys have the most sophisticated distribution system in the world.
Every night they run trailers from each of their distribution centers to the
various UPS and USPS sorting centers around the country, so they can get the
vast majority of their orders delivered to the customer the next day,
without having to pay for overnight shipping.
