I've done the altitude training and barochamber ride at Beale AFB where U2
and some Global Hawk are based. U2 pilots provided some of the training and
we were lucky enough to get a tour of a U2 and Global Hawk by a U2 pilot at
the end of the day.

Most of the class were power pilots and some folks from aerospace
contractors who required a chamber ride sign off. The U2 pilot described the
roll out and ground handling attributes of the U2 and commented it can be a
handful... like flying a glider. That got a smile out of the glider pilots
present.

And as Marc mentions some of the U2 pilots to fly out of Williams Soaring at
times. I remember chatting with a young looking guy who was there to take
his girlfriend flying in the ASK-21. Yep one of those U2 pilots. He had no
problem landing the K-21...
