Looks like a front passes through Thursday into Friday with winds favorable for ridge in the Appalachians. However, the timing is slightly "off"; as of now it looks like it may clear too late to give us significant time on Thursday and winds may slacken by mid-afternoon on Friday. Haven't had the time to do the usual detailed look across models, trending analysis, and consult pig entrails. Travelling for work for two days, but hopefully some folks will be able to take advantage.

This post makes me wonder how people use Twitter to share weather prognostications and observations related to soaring. Can someone clue in an "early adopter" of AOL?
The old ways are best of course, pig entrails, that sort of thing. |
