I am having problems getting a good answer whether landing fees apply
to a GA plane doing a single touch n go at Denver. Does anyone here have official/real-life info? The FAA will let me do it but at a possible $40-$95 I won't. Ron Lee |

Use the N number of somebody you don't like, if there is a
bill, they'll get it. Just kidding. Might be the same. |

Ron Lee Yeah, this was a rental situation. I do know that I was never charged a landing fee at CVG and was told over and over again that there was one. Again, I think they just didn't know who to charge. |

Just make certain you are not on a prefiled instrument flight plan so you cannot be tracked by flightaware or flightexplorer. |

If you have a squawk code, they will track you. Makes no difference if you are IFR, VFR, or have a prefiled flight plan. Using whatever San Jose International Airport's web pages pointed to at the time (I think it was FlightAware), I once reviewed a flight where I transited Norcal Approach's airspace VFR, including a clearance through the SFO B. I was able to track my flight from just south of Hollister almost to its destination, Santa Rosa. My entire flight was VFR from DAG to STS and I requested radar services and received a squawk code shortly after takeoff from DAG when I got into Joshua Approach's radar coverage range. -- Marty Shapiro Silicon Rallye Inc.
