For those interested, this URL allows the calculation of sun rise and
sunsets anywhere in the world. .. http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.html#formb Only those interested in factual information need look. MX might ask, "What would the US Navy know about such things, anyhow?" |

My flight planning software includes this same algorithm, and you can use it to find the sunrise/sunset time for any location: http://www.razorsedgesoft.com/airplan |

Maybe he'll come up with a less paranoid excuse this time around. |

If we're talking about he who nshould be ignored, it would offer the
opportunity to find, among other things, those days when there are in fact 12 hours of daylight at the equator. Of course, doing so would be a demonstration of an error on his part. I'd challenge him to admit it, as the first small step in returning to within a standard deviation of what might be considered 'normal'. But what do I know, I'm only a psychologist. And not a pilot. And a woman! Tina On Jun 29, 1:04 pm, "El Maximo" wrote: wrote in message oups.com... My favorite organization name was the IERS: International Earth Rotation Service and I speculated about the dire consequences if they ever stopped providing this service. http://www.gfy.ku.dk/~iag/Travaux_99/sec5_iers.htm Unfortunately they have since changed their title to the lengthier but more mundane International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service while retaining the same acronym. |
