Buck fifty range profile question by
Dallas
Am I reading this graph incorrectly?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/Dallas52/Dallas/RangeProfileChart.jpg
At the 45% power setting, the best range for a Cessna 150M would be
achieved by flying anywhere from sea level to a maximum of 1,800 feet?
At 75% power the gain is about 2.5 NM...

Landing a rocket ship on the Empire State Building by
Viperdoc
How does one land a rocket ship like the lunar lander on top of the Empire
State Building? What techniques do you use to slow your descent and land on
top of the antenna?
I don't care about any notams, but I suspect they won't apply to landing a
rocket ship.
I actually don't care about your...

Bad pilots, bad maintenance ruining general aviation by
Mxsmanic
I see on the CNN Web page not one but two reports of GA plane crashes.
General Aviation isn't inherently dangerous, so the large number of crashes
can only mean that there are lots of bad pilots and poorly-maintained aircraft
out there. And the accidents that occur as a result are ruining...

handed off to Nellis aproach. ...

KEAT name history? by
Ken Finney
Pangborn airport in Wenatchee, Washington is named after Clyde Pangborn, but
bears the identifier (EAT). Anyone know why that identifier, or was it just
random? Pangborn landed on his famous trip at another airport (Fancher
Field) so that can't have anything to do with it (i.e. Fancher owning...

Over a month ago Ms Maniac X was KILLFILED by me.
For me, thread volume has dropped to a readable level once again - with him
(somewhat) gone.
I am truely amazed at how many quotes I see where people still reply to his
posts! Oh well.
Unfortunately, in M$ OE 6.0, I can not block "message...

GA Flying Down 20% by

This from the April '07 edition of "NTSB Reporter":
"The good news: the number of GA accidents in 2006 declined to 1,515
from the 1,669 accidente in 2005. The bad news: The NTSB reports that
part of the decline was due to the steady decrease in the amount of GA
activity. Since 1990, says the...

about something truly important...like beer.
Mary just picked up a 6-pack of "Major Tom's Pomegranate Wheat" ale

Well, because it has a biplane on the container, of course! (Gotta
love her taste in beer......
