Minimum Voltage for PowerFlarm by
Brian[_1_]
Looking at the specs for the Powerflarm, specifically the Brick
version I have two sources for power requirements. One says 10-30
volts and the other says 12-28 volts.
The portable will run on 6 Nicads which is 7.2 volts.
So does anyone know what the brick version requires as a...

winter soaring vid by
Brad[_2_]
My buddy Ron in his LS-3 and I in my Apis cavorted for a couple of
hours back in the snow covered Cascades on Monday. Here's a link to
the video. The Casio camera has Rather poor video specs, but it works
ok.

Looking for a used pair of waterbags. by
Scott Alexander[_2_]
I just pulled the old bags out of my standard cirrus, with no surprise
that they leak. Fortunately the valves, connections and rigging are
in great shape.
Does anyone have a similar size used bag that I might buy? Similar
size bags would come from an LS-1, Libelle, ASW-15, etc.

tso altimeter by
Phoenixmotoman
I want to install a Winter 4FGH 40 altimeter with an EASA Form 1
certificate in my S-LSA motorglider with the Becker TSO'd
transponder. My avionics shop says that the altimeter must be TSO'd
as well. Can anyone cite FAA regulations about this issue? Any
information would be welcome.

Improvements in US Airspace/Airport data at www.soaringdata.info by
2KA
Hi All,
Just in time for the holiday season, I've made a couple of
improvements on my website:
- If your device's memory is too small to accommodate the airspace
map of the entire country, you can now create a subset file for just
your area of interest. Start by running a query on US...

Schweizer 1-34 For Sale by
Jeremy Zawodny
Schweizer 1-34 for sale!
Serial #12 (N7632) owned by our club since new (1970). Easy to fly,
good club ship, and easy transition from Schweizer 2 seat trainers. With
high wings, powerful dive brakes, and nose skid, it's safer for landouts
during early XC flights. Canopy recently re-sealed. ...

PowerFLARM deployment issues by
SoaringXCellence
OK, PowerFlarm is coming to the USA
The orders are in, mostly, at least everyone that wants one in the
first phase.
We get to wait until April (or there about) to actually see what we
are buying.
In the mean time, now the work begins to make this a successful
deployment.
