Monokote trim patches for covering holes - not recommended by
Uncle Fuzzy
A while back I posted that I had used Monokote trim to cover some of
the larger holes in my Speed Astir fuselage. They did a nice neat job
of covering the holes, but here's the follow-up. I removed one a
couple weeks ago that had been in place for a couple months. The
mylar pulled off cleanly,...

Help with OLC download Excel File by
John Scott[_2_]
I am trying to download the OLC info for our club in Excel format. This I
can do successfully. However, while the file is named ".XLS" it appears to
be a delimited text file. When I load it into Excel, for every flight, I
get 3 lines in the Excel Spreadsheet. The first line goes to the end...

FAA regulations- Solo student is the PIC? by
brianDG303
I hope this is a quick question. I'd like to get my commercial rating,
which requires 100 flights PIC. I bought a DG300 as a student pilot
and was so happy flying it I took 47 flights before getting the
private rating. Do those flights count?
Thanks all,
Brian

GPSNAV problems by
Shaun McLaughlin
I have a problem with my GPSNAV (model 20 I believe, with the external
antenna). The GPSNAV output to the screen works fine, directs me to the
waypoints etc. This shows that the GPS engine is working.
However, the output to the PDA via the serial port, and the Datacom output
to the L-Nav seems to...

Acheiving Silver Distance 50KM by
Scott Alexander
Can just anyone be a witness to the 50km if you do a straight line distance
and land at another airport?
For example, if my wingrunner who is a commercial pilot, drags the trailer
to a declared airport 50km away and then come to pick me up there, can he
official witness this?
Will this count? ...

Ilec MCU by
Mark Jardini
Since taking delivery of my Apis MC, the Ilec Mcu has been
intermittant on rpm. Lately it has just been "mittant" and I am
getting no registration at all. The green-yellow-red rpm lights are
out as well and usually the red "not charging" light is lit also, but
the battery is charging just fine....

Questions to ASH26E or ASH25 MI owners by
Ludovic Launer[_2_]
Hi,
A few questions, on behalf of a friend, to the ASH26E owners.
On the Wankel Mid-West AE50R engine:
- Has anyone ever had any leaks problems in the cooling system ? There's
quite a fair amount of cooling liquid being lost at every run. Further
inspections did not show any leaks in the pipes,...

Cambridge 302 Flight Log Date Error? by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I'm bringing this topic to this forum because it appears to be a unique and
strange issue that doesn't make any sense to me. I'm a big fan of the
Cambridge 302 and yet I can't explain this issue.

Learning to fly in Europe? by
Justin Fielding
Hi all,
I'm going to be on a road tour of Europe in August (South of France,
Switzerland, Germany etc) and was thinking of stopping somewhere for a
week to do a gliding course.
My first question would be whether or not any training I do in Europe will
be valid back in the UK? The second would be...
