When to apply gap seal tape by
soaringjac
I am going to be using 3M perfect it followed by WX Block/Seal. Just wondering when in the process i should apply the new gap seals? I think i read that the seals/tape does not stick too well to freshly WX block/sealed surfaces. Should i put them on now and then mask them off, and then do the whole...

Using the wrong hydraulic brake fluid by
Nelson Howe
Not knowing any better, I used Aeroshell 4 when I bled and topped up the hydraulic brake system in my Discus 2b. Initially it got the sponginess out of the brake. After working on it some more about a week later, I found it impossible to bleed the system further ( I thought I might still have a...

Portable PowerFLARM real-time clock? by
[email protected]
I have a Portable PowerFLARM, and it creates IGC flight log files with the right dates (from the GPS data), but files that it writes to the SD card are all dated 1/1/2010. Has an internal battery for the real-time date died, or does it not have one?

Bucket hat vs baseball cap by
soaringjac
I just picked up a bucket had that pretty much every glider pilot wears, but I don’t want to wear is because I feel like it limits visibility way more than my baseball cap does. With the baseball cap basically visibility is only limited when looking up, but with the bucket had visibility is...

Pee bag gel by
soaringjac
We have cats and just got a new type of litter for them called SoPhresh Gel Lock. This stuff would be great in a zip lock pee bag! Super absorbent and turns into a gel immediately. I have not tried it in flight yet, but once i saw how this stuff worked i knew it would be great to put in some pee...

Nano 4 GPS BAD/0 satellite reception by
HoUdino
Is anyone else having problems getting GPS reception with the Nano4? I’ve tried everything I can think of...returned it to the factory, left it on to an open sky for long periods of time, multiple reboots, upgraded software. Still, more often than not “BAD/0”.
Quite frustrating!

I seem to have little difficulty connecting and detaching the sleeved connectors for the ailerons and right spoiler.
Left spoiler sleeve is a PIA. After connecting, I
notice that the locking sleeves have some fractional , minute, wobble except the left spoiler.

I was wondering if my flight recorder was effected by the GPS recent outage so I plugged it in and noticed that it took a long time for the light to start blinking. Now its a very thick cloudy day today but it concerned me. What are the indicators of date problems with the GPS issues. I do plug the...

IPAQ trouble - won't turn on by
Bill Palmer
I have an HP IPAQ 310 that I run X-C Soar on, that won't turn on. :-(
I left it in my bag for a few months and didn't use it, and wouldn't be surprised if the battery ran down.
Before that period, it worked fine and was not in a condition to suffer physical damage.
When I plug it in, the amber...

Dear Dr Panigrahi,
Kindly **** off and die.
