Where to train in Europe? by
Jüri Kaljundi
Hey,
Where in Europe might it be the best in summer to get some intensive glider pilot and soaring training? Somewhere where you could get the maximum hours of flying and training per day, not just 30-90 minutes. Of course, the cheaper it is, the better. Stable predictable weather definitely a...

HPH 304 MS Flight Characteristics by
[email protected]
I owned a HPH 304cz-17 my first glider. Was a joy to fly. A bit of a handful with full drag brakes out on steep approach. Had no issues. Loved that glider.
My question is are owners of the 304 Shark happy with the flight characteristics?
I would be interested in a MS version. Is yours for...

Trailer clamp pad - where to find one? by
Scott Alexander[_2_]
On my Komet trailer, the wingtips are held into place by a clamp with
a pad that is connected to the ceiling of the trailer. When the
trailer is closed, this pad is pressed against the trailing edge of
the wingtip. The construction of the rubberish-foam is about 3/8 inch
thick.
This pad needs...

SoaringXCellence
All,
Little late notice, but looking for some help:
I have a "new-to-me" glider sitting in Williams, having been delivered there by the previous owner for my pick-up.
Noelle and Rex are busy getting ready for the Nats and have not been able to help me get it moved.
I will be coming down from...

Just back from the 15 m Nationals, I want to thank Rex, Noelle, Ben and Nick Mayes for a wonderful job putting on a well-organized, fun and challenging contest. As someone new to Montague I'd also like to thank CD Dale Bush for keeping us safe while pushing us (or at least pushing me).

Looking for O2 equipment advice by
Dave White[_2_]
I recently purchased an older Schweizer with a built in O2 system. The bottle is a Catalina and would need hydrostatic testing. The regulator is an older military type A-14 certified to 45,000 feet last overhauled in 2001. The mask is well worn and would need replacing. I would appreciate advice...

Becker AR 620x radio - seems a little quiet? by
jfitch
I finally got my new radio wired, the audio seems a little quiet compared to the old Dittel 71. Same speaker, 4 ohm as spec'd. I remember the Dittel being pretty loud, kept the volume knob set to the lower half of rotation. The Becker even at 100% is far from earsplitting, and maybe not loud...

Getting back to gliding by
K Smith
I haven't flown since 1993, and am now a diabetic who gained a large amount
of weight. I have finally gotten off my lazy butt and decided to drop the
weight and get back in a sailplane. I hope to be back in shape by this
winter sometime. What I need to know is if the medical requirements have...
