accesory drive adapter oil leak by
Jim Burns
I've got an oil leak on our Aztec left engine, IO540 C4B5. The hydraulic
pump on the left engine has a drain/vent hose that is leaking engine oil. It
is definitely not hyd oil. I had a new garlock oil seal pressed into the
accessory drive adapter housing thinking that this was how the oil...

Fuel servo problem??? by
Robert M. Gary
Today I went out to my plane to fly and found a very odd problem. When
I started the plane after taxiing over the fuel, I could only get it to
run when the mixture was just at the edge of idle cut off. Moving it
even 1/8 forward caused the engine to die right away.
I did some diagnostics. At 1500...

Baby flying bonnet by
Jesse Wright
Does anyone have plans or a link to info about making a baby flying
bonnet? It's basically a bonnet that ties onto the baby, but is
modified to provide hearing protection by adding foam/rubber earpieces
and padding. I remember reading about it a couple of years ago on one
of the pilot groups, but...

Exxon 20W50 by
Dennis O'Connor
Did you notice the blurb in AOPA EPILOT that Exxon has, and has been having,
deposits of grey crud in their bottles of oil, but they say it is just fine
and there is no need for them to replace it, or to pay to tear your engines
down...
Besides, there is a lot less of the crud in this months...

How long until prop O/H by

My Hertzile (?sp?) has almost 900 since its been torn down. I've heard
different things from different mechanics. I know the actual TBO on
the prop is now something like 20,000 hours. However, I don't want to
get stuck somewhere with a problem. How much time do most people here
