I like the Idea of being able to also mount my Ipod a cup holder and laptop
in a secure place with the seat rail mount just found a great mount suction cup mount for my mini dv also. You would not believe how many 802.11 AP's you can pick up at 1,500 agl with an external antenna. "Hankal" wrote in message ... It doesn't block any of the Sacred Six instruments, and the map is right where I want it. Still prefer my rail mount in my 172. When in strong Florida sunlight I can tilt it to almost any angle. That would be nice to do but this is a Cessna 150 and my panel is full, I was thinking above the compass see hand held photo I have installed the rail mount for my AvMap. I have a 172 and it fit perfect. I think I paid $109.00 The difference with the Skymap IIIC is that it is much bigger than most GPSs. Its a big hunk of GPS. The screen is much bigger than a 295. I'm almost sad to be getting rid of mine, but now that Garmin has finally caught up in the terrain game, I'm going to jump ship. -Robert Yes it is big and I like it, It's easy to use easy to read ect. |

Rail mounts don't work well in planes with only one door. It's kinda hard to crawl across them! When in strong Florida sunlight I can tilt it to almost any angle. I can view ours in direct sunlight... -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

to crawl across them! One of many reasons why I have a Cessna 172. Two doors and two windows. Hank |

As I am getting older and my eyes weaker I prefer the big screen. |
