Subject: Is 91.175 enforced in the USA? .... I have a hard time imaging a pilot would want to fly a homemade GPS approach. -Robert, CFII Having never been forced into that corner -- before GPS came on the scene -- I have to admit I once felt the same way Bob. After having been there -- again before GPS came of age -- I have to agree with Bob Moore. Homemade approaches can sometimes save your butt, but they can also get you hurt. I'm not advocating a non-pub'd approach by any means, but then I don't advocate that people collect on their life insurance policies either. |
