I have a hard time imaging a pilot would want to fly a homemade GPS
approach.

Having never been forced into that corner -- before GPS came on the
scene -- I have to admit I once felt the same way Bob. After having been
there -- again before GPS came of age -- I have to agree with Bob Moore.
Homemade approaches can sometimes save your butt, but they can also get
you hurt.

I'm not advocating a non-pub'd approach by any means, but then I don't
advocate that people collect on their life insurance policies either.
