Motorgliders and TE Probes by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I have a question for motorglider owners. I sell variometers and TE probes
but I'm still learning. A customer is building a Europa motorglider and he
is wondering if he can mount a TE probe on the fin and connect it to the
variometer, or will the propwash cause problems. Is it necessary to...

A friend keeps insisting that a 4-place glider was built at one time.
Can anyone verify, identify, or point to a picture?

Ideal Glider Hangar Dimensions by
SGS135
We are looking to add a hangar to the airport and wordered what others have
figured out for the "optimum" length/width/height (door clearance) for a
hangar that would hold a combination of 15m and 17m gliders (6 or more).
Trying to find options that minimizes total cost, so door type and width

70 kg 31:1 glider is here to stay? by
Andre Volant
For soaring, this is it.
New racing class?
Why fly fast when you can fly slower.
What's a rush anyway?
Race slower, cover less ground, easier retrieve.
Stalls at 31.4 km/h

L-23 tail dolly by
Mark Zivley
Just curious if anyone out there has built a nice tail dolly for an
L-23. We now have 3 L-23s and our hanger is 2500 ft from our base of
operations. Sure would be nice to rearward tow an L-23 w/ a wing wheel
and tow bar from the hanger rather than using a rope and a wing walker.
Existing...

Composite question OT by
Steve B
I noticed a recent discussion about materials used for the
construction of Sailplanes. I am looking for a material to help
support a weak area on the cowl of an airplane that I fly. It is a
power plane (has one of those fuel to noise converters) so please
forgive.
The cowl is wide and the center...

Glider cross-country time toward commercial SEL requrements? by
Matt Michael
I'm trying to determine if any of my glider cross-country time can be
applied to the commercial single engine aeronautical experience
requirements.
FAR 61.129 says "50 hours of cross-country flight of which at least 10
hours must be in airplanes".
FAR 61.1 defines cross country time as, among...
