Saint Auban aero chart by
Burt Compton - Marfa
Looking for a paper 1:500,000 VFR aero chart in order to orient myself to that area of France. A used chart will be OK until I get there in August. If you know of a source of these charts in the USA, please let me know.

Compaq aero 1550 cable to 302 by
[email protected]
Anyone have a cable to connect a 1500 series Compaq aero to a Cambridge 302 that they would be willing to sell? 2EZ wore his connector out and is having a hard time finding a replacement. Apparently, no vendors have this cable anymore.
Thanks,
WB

FS: Jonker Sailplane, JS1B, N51WE by

Promised my lovely bride that after Uvalde I would take a break from competition flying. So, I don't need the latest greatest racing machine now ... not sure what I need ... but, first, I must sell my wonderful JS1-B. :-(

Registring a new glider by
kd6veb
Hi Gang
I am aware of 2 new (imported) gliders having to be registered in the experimental category - Mitch Polinsky's 31 and my DG1001M. I truly don't think that is too much of a problem with single place gliders but is a problem with 2 place gliders because it excludes commercial usage....

Is it really that hard to get an EASA certified glider type certified with the FAA? The type certificates that Transport Canada issues for EASA built and certified gliders look to be pretty much just the EASA documents approved under a reciprocal...

How to landout on a steep uphill final? by
son_of_flubber
A runway that I frequent has no straight ahead option for a rope break at 100 feet AGL. There is a however a highly recommended hayfield with a 90 degree turn from the takeoff heading onto the landout final. The field is 100 feet lower in elevation than the departure runway, so it is reachable if...

Is there a way to declare to a portable PowerFlarm or do you just use written declaration with the IGC file?

Grob drop off tail dolly by
Greg Delp
Has anyone modified one of the Grob pin and socket drop off tail dollies for use with a tow bar? I'm worried that the stresses from towing on uneven ground/grass may cause issues with cracking the socket portion in the fuselage. Of course building or finding a regular wrap around dolly is an option.

Improved shear/stall-spin alarms by
KiloKilo[_2_]
I just wondering if current technology could provide improved stall-spin warnings/information.
For example, suppose you installed a pitot at each wingtip (and I'm making an assumption you need this level of resolution) and had an instrument that monitored/stored wingtip airspeed and fluctuations …...

Glider Financing by
noel.wade
Called AOPA last Thursday - and nope, none of their financing partners can do gliders at present. They claim that if more people start requesting it, they may be able to make it happen; but not immediately.
Sad, really - and IMHO one more reason the sport isn't growing here. A person looking...
